Why Instagram eats your line breaks.
Instagram trims whitespace from the end of every line and removes lines that end up completely empty. It is not a bug: it is how the text gets cleaned before saving. The result is that the bio you carefully laid out turns into one compact block.
The fix is making those lines not actually empty. This tool inserts an invisible character on each one — the blank braille pattern, a standard Unicode character — that occupies the line without drawing anything. Instagram treats it as content and keeps the break.
It matters to know that this character counts toward the limit. Every blank line spends one of your 150 bio characters. The counter above already accounts for it and tells you how many invisible ones you are carrying.

It happens occasionally, and almost always for the same reason: the text was edited after pasting. Try this order. First, paste and save without touching anything else. Second, if you are changing your bio, do it from instagram.com on a computer rather than the app, which handles formatting better. And third, if you copy from a notes app that reformats text, run it through a plain text editor first.
